The "Dragon" was a 1999 collaboration. The "Attack Butterfly" was commissioned to be the illustration for a science fiction story by an author named ATK Butterfly. At the middle of the page, there's "HE" and "SHE" - the cosmic couple - pencil sketches 1999 and 2000. "Promart" was an entrance page to a science fiction/speculative fiction Internet site, and "Tower" an illustration for a set of poems. "Guardian" - After Glen Loates' "Timberwolves".

"Dragon" (left) was a 1999 collaboration with Alberta artist/author Cathy Buburuz.  Cathy drew the dragon, and I did the setting and the flames.  Media used were pen and ink (Cathy), and black, brown, grey, and silver marking pens (me).  Most of the silver effect was lost in the scanning process, particularly in the flames.

This picture was commissioned to be the illustration for a science fiction story by an author named ATK Butterfly.  The only specific request made was to include a butterfly in the picture.  The author's initials made me think of an " Attack Butterfly ", so that's what the picture became in execution and name.
The Cosmic Couple.  Who do you think cracks the sonic whip in this 'family' ?

The inspiration for " HE " (left) was the picture of the head of a dust mite magnified 10,000,000 times.  Then it just remained to make "SHE" (right) as different as possible.  Pencil sketches, 1999 and 2000.
" Promart " - In early 2002 I was asked to do a picture to be used as the entrance page to a science fiction/speculative fiction Internet site called "Promart". Of course, I did a Martian scene.  My art teacher didn't care for it much but other people have enjoyed it, and it was up on the site for about 4 years.

Right:"The Guardian" is the 'door' to David's website.  After Glen Loates' "Timberwolves".

Above: " Tower" - Commissioned in 2000, this was an illustration for a set of poems called, appropriately enough, " Towers".
